Key Benefits of the New USSD & APP

Enhanced Security

The new USSD and App platform introduces security questions and answers that are configured by members during registration. This additional security layer strengthens account protection and reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Self-Service PIN Reset

Members can reset their own PINs without contacting the SACCO or visiting a branch, improving convenience while reducing support workload.

Expanded Transaction Capabilities

Unlike the existing USSD/APP platform, the new platforms offers a wider range of financial services, including:

  • Internal account-to-account transfers.
  • Transfers to other members using account numbers or mobile numbers.
  • Loan repayments for Digi Loans, M-Loans, and Dividend Advance.
  • Loan top-up requests for eligible products.
  • BOSA and FOSA loan repayments through M-Pesa.
  • Real-time deposits into savings products such as Fanaka, Christmas, and Junior accounts.

Improved Member Self-Service

The platform empowers members to perform services that previously required branch intervention, including:

  • ATM card blocking and activation.
  • Dormant account activation.
  • Fixed deposit placement.
  • Standing order setup and management.
